BBYO (B’nai B’rith Youth Organisation)
BBYO (B’nai B’rith Youth Organisation) was founded in the UK in 1940 to promote Aliyah and the importance of the State of Israel. Today there are over 35,000 members around the world.
BBYO is an organisation for young people run by young people and is open to all Jews between the ages of 13 and 18. As such it is a very vibrant and fun movement.
There are BBYO ‘chapters’ throughout the UK which can be found in:
- Bournemouth
- Brighton
- Dublin
- Ealing
- Hampstead Garden Suburb
- Leeds
- Manchester
- Nottingham
- Pinner
- Radlett
- Stanmore
- Woodside Park .
BBYO runs a number of different events and activities throughout the year including:
- Trips to Israel for post GCSE students
- Summer camps
- Tours of Poland and Israel with members from around the world
- Gap year programmes
- Evening meetings
- Social events
