How to Choose a PR Agency
PR is all about influencing key opinion formers to encourage them to endorse your products or services. As these endorsements are perceived to be impartial they can help to generate invaluable credibility for and interest in what you are selling.
We have put together a list of questions that you might want to ask PR agencies when deciding whom you want to use.
- Does the agency have experience of working with other businesses in the same sector as yours?
- What types of campaigns have they organised for clients with similar needs and objectives as yours and what were the results?
- What journalists and opinion formers does the agency have good relationships with?
- What is the average size of the agency’s clients? Bear in mind that if your business is much smaller than the others on the agency’s list or if you are paying much less than their other clients, you may find that you are quite far down on their list of priorities.
- What services does the agency offer?
- What fees do they charge and is their any flexibility with these? For instance, will the agency charge on a performance basis?
- How does the agency measure the results of a campaign?
